Postal Shoot Concern

Post by skipper »

It just occured to me that the deer hunters will be showing up at the range towards the end of August. It might be a good idea to get your shooting done before they start sighting in. I'm not sure when they show up in your location but you need to keep this in mind. I don't like to be at the range when all those brand new rifles show up. I've seen some pretty scary things.

I'm positive I'll shoot the postal targets at home!!!
When I do go to the public range its like opening day everyday here.
Hot brass flying everywhere from the AR and Ak shooters learning to yank the trigger real fast at 25yds. Crossfires on my targets in both directions from everything from 22lr to 12 quage slugs and buckshot! Lots of Rambos in this neck of the woods very few marksmen.

It must be what a sniper feels like in the midst of a live fire excersize.
I just wish I had body armor for making that long lone walk out to 100yds.
One never knows.........

On the bright side it does force me to block out the distractions and concentrate on my shooting ;) Right up to the point when one of those freshly ejected pieces of brass ends its ballistic arc at the neck of my shirt
