I finally found a break today to have a go at the target - nice calm conditions but I was in a bit of a rush and shot the 15 straight up with no practice and corrected point of aim after first and second bull - shot bottom left target then bottom right and finished on centre target with a flier outside the bull. These little targets are hard to concentrate on with a max of 12 X on my scope but was happy with the result. Thanks heaps to Skipper for organising this and getting a target down to South Australia for me - great to be involved and will start some practicing for the next round as I retire from my full time job at the end of next week!!! to spend more time on the farm/fishing/hunting/gardening/travelling etc.
Target will be posted Monday morning so should get there by end of July
Cheers from downunder
Hoppy

Re: 2019 Five-N-Dime Competition News
Got a break from a crazy work schedule and made it to the range to shoot my target. Less than stellar conditions would have done much better if this was a FOUR-N-DIME competition
Skipper Thanks for the opportunity to join in on this

Re: 2019 Five-N-Dime Competition News
While I am posting this. I picked up this barrel from a site member, Savage Mod 12 26 inch Fluted barrel in SS. Had my smith cut it to 24 in and I installed it into the savage action, etc. will put it into a Boyd's lami wood stock later this year, but in the meantime it is shoot fantastic.
I did not know savage had a fluted barrel like this in their line, but glad I bought it and found out how fine it is...

Re: 2019 Five-N-Dime Competition News
I took the .204 out to the range today-no wind and 78 degrees. Shot my target and hope next year it gets changed to the 2020 four-n-nickel! What is it about that 5th shot? Anyway, I'll get the target in the mail for an official score but it's nothing to get excited about. Good luck to the rest of you shooters!

Re: 2019 Five-N-Dime Competition News
I just got back from Corpus Christi. I was attending my aunt's funeral. I have many targets and am just waiting on last minute arrivals, if any. I will be prepared to announce the winners on Thursday like I promised. Lord willing and the creek don't rise.
