Posted my "neewbee build" here this last winter. Have all the supplies for reloading the .204 with 39 gr Sierra BK's...just never got to it. Pops and I decided on a week trip through Montana to test out his new Polaris Razor. I agreed to 2 days Praire Dogging near Musselsell on the way back to Minn. This would be my first real test of my AR build.
Our setup was minimalistic. No prone shooting as pops can't get down like that. We'd shoot from the back of the Razor...standing alongside of box, leaning over on a table I laid across the box. Front bi-pod only, rear stock in shoulder, no bags. Factory Hornady 32 gr ammo. Vortex Viper with simple target reticle. We were consistantly getting first or second hits out to 250 yds. I was impressed. I think the rig on a PDog bench and shooting vise and handloads could be deadly!
Next year will try the handlods and shooting bench.
What a sweet little (but heavy) AR.
No doggy pics, but we slaughtered 'em all day for two days. Had a blast. Will post a pic of our rig here.
