20 Tactical vs 204 in an AR

Does anyone have any experience with the 20 tactical in in AR? I love my 204 Ruger bolt gun but even les Baer recommends five rounds max in the magazine in an AR. The 20 TAC has the same ballistics and even has brass from lapua but the biggest advantage I see is exact same diameter as the 223 meaning no worries and better performance in feeding? Was thinking of having Carey custom or dtech build me one. Any thoughts on this AR platform for someone who likes 20 cal over a .223 and also wants to eliminate feeding potential problems? Thanks

When I was considering a 223 based .20cal as a companion of my .204 Ruger upper I went with a 20 Practical upper. Simple 2 step neck down process of new .223 brass, thereafter no special resizing necessary. I normally shoot 5 shot strings with ASC SS mags and have not had a reliability or feeding problems in either the 204 or 20 practical uppers.

I considered building 20 practical before i built my shilen barreled 204 ar . But I can go on a prarie dog hunt and run out of my pet loads and bye off shelf 204 and hunt another day! Cant do that with 20 practical and 204 shilen barrel is a laser beam! Not that 20 practical isnt a very impresive round! Food for thought!
