Hey everyone. Just finished my Black Rain/Seekins/Shilen 204 build with 1-9 twist. I'm wanting to build another now with a 1-12 twist. Anyone using the Lilja 24" drop in 204 ruger barrel? Tell me about it please. My other option for a 1-12, White Oak Armament? Any suggestions will be welcome. Thanks, JD

Can't offer anything about WOA, but every Lilja barrel I've owned or currently own shoots right there with the very best makers. Considering that Lilja barrels are used by our armed forces rifle teams, the Olympic shooting team and has probably won more nationals than any other maker I'm aware of, I'd say it would be a very good choice for a 204R 12-twist, but that's just me.

Thanks Rick, I think your right. They have them in stock now, a little expensive, but I threw all that out the window when I chose seekins, black rain, magpul prs, etc. Thanks for your input. JD

White Oak Armament (WOA) is known through out the Highpower Rifle world for building match winning AR's. I don't know what barrel blanks are used but always remember, the quality of the barrel is just one aspect and they are all pretty darn good these days.

But N-E-V-E-R...E-V-E-R overlook who fits the barrel. That work is equally as important as the barrel itself.

Apologies to the late reply but its rare that I frequent the AR portion of this site.

HTH,

Sorry I'm getting back to you so late. WOA is using Wilson match blanks for their varmint barrels but do their own chambers & machine work. By fitting the barrel, are you referring to barrel nut torque & gas tube alignment? I missed you earlier but have a great new year Jim.
