Funny thing.. the nicking seems to have ceased. I'll let y'all know after the next session.

I fergit if I mentioned, but I've been single feeding so far, just using the mag to plug the hole under the bolt.

Now I want an ambidextrous bolt release, cuz that a pain in the buttocks :eew: , LOL!!

Bow shot--not that I care but I have an AR so I have fast followup shots. If I have to single feed it'l be a singleshot.

LOL, it is kind of oxymoronic, aint it  ? Well, I'm still testing groups, and wanted to keep mag feed out of the accuracy equasion. Not that I have much suspicion (or any solid reason) that feeding from the mag would cause any issues... I think its a nagging doubt left from my beginning handloading days where I was warned (justly or not) that if you neck-size, you shouldn't mag feed until you are sure that you have proper neck tension, or else your bullets will get cock-eyed.

I did feed and live-eject a few mags just to see if my OAL changed. So far nice and tight, no bullet movement out of the case.

Yup, still nicking, just dropped out of notice since I've been throwing the brass in the tumbler right after sessions.

But I'll get after it when I'm satisfied with my groups ('never really am....)

I tried a 20 round mag that was retro fit for 5 rounds..204 rounds go in poorly and at the slightest bump all accordion out. But .223 rounds work very nice. I stuck with my metal 20 rd. Mag.
