I had a really good hunt this morning. Got out to the blind at 5 AM and got all our decoys set up. The teal were buzzing our blind before legal shooting time. That's Soooooo tempting!!. Anyhow we all limited out before 8 AM which is slow for this location. Many in this 6 man group were seasoned hunters. That's good and bad. Good in the sense that you can pretty much count on the others to know what to AND not to do. Bad in the sense that everyone had a different opinion about the spread, how the mojos were set up, etc, etc. We ended up completely changing the spread because the birds weren't finishing right. Early on they acted like our spread wasn't even there.
In the end we had quite a few fantastic shots made by just about everyone. But the one shot that stood out above all the others was when a teal buzzed us from directly behind. At least he buzzed us till Jeff nailed his tail feathers about as fast as I've ever seen with one clean shot that sent feathers flying everywhere.
