Where do you guys buy your supplies?

Post by Predator1 »

I am lucky enough to live 10 min from Powder Valley so that is where I buy all my bullets, brass, powder, primers. When it comes to reloading equipment such as dies, presses, tools for case prep and such where do you shop?

I buy powder, primers, shot, and wads through my gun club,at a price, less than I can obtain them anywhere else.Supplies usually come once a month (Gamalia).Brass and bullets wherever,I can find a good price.

Beikirch Ammunition. They have better prices than Midway on powder, bullets and brass. For the rare items they don't carry I use Midway.

Used to buy a lot from Midway, but they wanted an extra $3 for an order less than $25. Because of that, I am no longer one of their customers.
I recently replaced my press with a new Redding boss. It had so much play, in it that I was getting any where from .005 to as much as .010 difference in seating depth. I purchased it from Midsouth Shooters Supply. I called and told the tech there about my problem, and that I knew it wasn't their fault. He told me to return it, no questions asked, for a full credit. Because of this kind of customer support, I will be purchasing more from them. I also use Sinclair, Cabelas, and have used Natchez, Precision Reloading. For powder and primers I drive up to Oregon, to Sportsmans Warehouse, because of no sales tax, as in Kalifornia, and no Haz Mat fees, and reasonable pricing.

I really like Midsouth! I can send an email and I get a quick reply. If I call they are really happy to help. Good customer service usually gets my business.

I have also purchased from those listed above and recently made a couple of small online purchases to "ManVenture Outpost". Overall cost is usually a little cheaper... Website is a little clunky, shipping seems to be more than it should be but overall cost a little less and delivered as promised.

I do purchase from others, but for the most part, it is either Midway USA or Midsouth Shooters. Bill K
