.88" 3shot groups 500 yards???

Does anyone know this guy?

Are tikka riffles usually this good? Or is this guy some kind of riffle genie? any thoughts? comments? opinions on the Tikka???

If i have done my math correctly that is somewhere in the neighborhood of .16 MOA. I am a little baffled at that because it seems like unbelievable shooting from what I thought was a lower end riffle.

I don't know, but you could see the vapor trail of the bullets, which was pretty cool.

Those vapor trails are cool. Plus, the plate moves less with the second and third shots than it did with the first shot, must be beacuse the 2nd and 3rd bullets are going through pretty much the same hole.

Here is another quick .204 video that you can see the vapor trail from.

Thanks for posting that Vid - it's sure to get a few views on YOUTUBE. Amazing shooting. The guy sounds like he might be ex army from by the way he speaks. Also, Those Tikka's are pretty sweet. I believe they are made by SAKO> Again, great video.

Check out the others posted by the same guy - 1000 metre shot!!

That is correct; Tikka is Sako's "lower end" rifle. Some of our domestic manufacturers would be hard pressed to offer such a rifle here, let alone such a high quality "entry level" rifle like the Tikka. They are fine rifles to be sure.

According to Sako, one step up from a Tikka, and you've got yourself a Sako M75:

My Sako M75 Varmint in 204 of course, cooling off during a hot shoot a couple of years ago in N. CA during a particularly good ground squirrel shoot.

I could believe it if it weren't for the wind. I've only ever owned one .204, it was the first rifle I ever reloaded for, and I shot several groups < 1/2" @200 yards and a few under 1/4" with it while I still was pretty much a reloading novice. So I know it ain't my skill, it's the luck of a good rifle and a tolerant cartridge coming together.

Then again, they might have shot a whole box of bullets and only published the one video where the wind drift was exactly the same for all three rounds.

I wont lie. I am a bit of a skeptic too. That seems a little too good to be true. He never actually shows his long rage target up close and doesn't show his measurement of that target. Even if it was that good of a riffle, he has to have some freaking coin tied up in that riffle to get it to shoot that well. That night force scope alone isn't cheap. I was kind of hoping he was a member here so he could defend his video with some load data and more information about the riffle. But if the video is real, I am jealous as heck. lol. I want to buy a .204 riffle that is capable of performing that well.

Here's a photo of my Tikka Master Sporter in .22-250 so you all know that I have first-hand experience and knowledge of how accurate the Tikka rifles actually are.

Image

Everyone who owns a Tikka knows they are a true one-hole rifle from most any distance and a 500 yard 3-shot group measuring .88" is child's play with a sweet shooting Tikka  That's why the insignia for Tikka rifles is two woodpeckers because woodpeckers keep hitting the same hole over, and over, and over, and over, and over with almost annoying frequency just like Tikka rifles do.

Man alive!! I don't know how the F$#% I am ever going to decide which riffle to buy. Everything about a cooper is gorgeous including its rep for accuracy, Sako riffles look and perform beautifully, now the Tikka has caught my attention, i like the accustock and accutrigger on the savage, The CZ has a decent size following as does Remmington... How is a guy supposed to make a decision like that? :wall: ...well, :chin: I guess I gotta have em all. I wish.

Yeah true. I feel like a circus animal that jumps through hoops trying to get a new rifle. Recently in my state they have made it VERY difficult to get a rifle of the same calibre. You need to show the authorities just cause.
