had this up before the crash but glad everything is back up! i took my remington 700 sps-v and shortened the barrel from 26" to 20" to reduce weight and make it faster handeling ( i live in kentucky and wont be shooting past 300 yards anyway in this heavy cover) Image took her out today to try my old loads for the 26"bbl and discovered i now only have one load this rifle likes 32gr. nosler over 27.8gr. benchmark in ww brass and cci 400 primers! this load used to shoot .5-.75 moa but now is running .25-.5 moa at 100yrd's and is running around 3800fps in the 20" bbl! my LR load of 39gr. sierra's over 25.8 gr. benchmark used to shoot .5 moa to 500yrd's now wont shoot moa at 100yrd's so gonna have to redo my work up on that 39's! here is the 32 nosler groups i had one called pull on the first group and there are 2 sighters to the left of the second group both are 5 shots average group for today was .26 c-c, Image Image

Thanks for the info; nice job. I've been thinking of doing the same to my SPS V; it has a stainless barrel/action and is probably even heavier than the blued models. I'm only thinking about 2-3 inches off, though. Did you happen to weigh that rifle before and after?
