Re: primers explode airplane
Well, let's be fair here, no AIRPLANE exploded, just some primers going off in the baggage handling area inside the guys luggage.
Do you work for CNN and are trying to stir up the troops?

Re: primers explode airplane
Wonder if the baggage handlers have started handling checked luggage a little more carefully??

I found some of the statements in the article a little odd. Perhaps they should have said "ammunition components"?
".............He is being charged with traveling without a license to carry ammunition.....................Under US law, passengers are allowed to pack guns and ammunition in their checked luggage, but it is illegal to have primers, black powder or percussion caps."

Re: primers explode
it was posted to remind us to be more careful when transporting primers. plus the quote really does not make sense. you are allowed to transport "ammunition" but then it says you are not allowed to transport primers. i thought that would include the primers in loads too.
i found that law messed up. you can transport live rounds but not the components that would require that they be put together first. or not usable until they are put together.
