Welcome youngster
This is a great site for information and comradery. I love my new Vortex scope, I have the same one. Vortex is offering a turret that will enable you to dial in the shot by yardage, once you provide Vortex with all the specific information on your bullet. I wish there was an internet when I started to reload to help me out. Yes I was there when dirt was created.

first outing with new scope and wind was blowing crazy from right to left with verying gust's so spent most of the time on steel at 2-300 yards! i could not get any good groups on paper but had very little vertical spread! load was 32 grin nosler ballistic tip over max charge of benchmark with cci primers and winchester cases distance 100 yards

Scope looks right at home on that gun.I would have it set farther back as the eye relief decreases whenthe magnification goes higher.Shot mine the other day.Like the dot more and more.At the sale price those scopes are a steal.

nice set up. i had the very same rifle as my first 204 and loved it. wish i didnt sell it cause it could drive tacks. you might try reloader 10x with that rifle. if i remember right my like 25.6g with a 32g v-max bullet. check the min max on that powder as i am just going from memory. ive heard good things about those vortex scopes but havn't gotten to play with one yet. i have a ziess conquest 6.5-20 on top of mine and absolutely love it. good luck and welcome.
