Cooper Question

I have a Cooper M21 on order in .204R. I know they ship with either Leupold or Talley scope bases. My question is what type they are, as in dovetail/windage screw or, clamp type? I would like to spread the accessory purchases out over the next few months. Kind of feels like those last few months before a new baby arrives! Thanks in advance.

RAMOS: Both of my Cooper M21's came with Leupold STD bases; dual dovetail up front, and the useless windage base in the rear. Why Leupold does not make dual dovetail front/rear for the Cooper rifles is beyond me.
Maybe you'll luck out and get Talley bases on yours and save a few bucks replacing the STD offering.

I think we will see if we can request Talley bases. Nothing to lose!

You can specify either base with your order. The people at Cooper are very willing to make your rifle the way you want it. By the way I have the same rifle, you will love it!

I got Talley's with mine. The look is a bit different than Leupold, but I like it just as much, if not more. No lapping required, either.
