Actual MV of factory loads?

Has anyone chronographed any factory .204 ammo? I'd heard rumors that even Hornady can't hit that claimed 4225 fps mark so today I chronographed some Hornady and Remington factory ammo from a 26" Savage VLP.

Or should I say tried to test some. The numbers I got were ridiculously high, I think because I was shooting in a light (almost-freezing) drizzle. The 32-gr Hornady averaged 4430 fps and the 32-gr Remington averaged 4619!! Anyway, my chono returned from the factory just this week after a complete overhaul and recalibration and it was giving reasonable readings before the rain, and I figure I'm not the first one it's occurred to to chronograph the factor ammo.

It's not possible the factory ammo is anywhere near that hot, is it? Has anyone actually chronographed any?

EDIT:
I did search to see if this already had been posted but my search strings only returned errors.

Hornady factory 40-grain V-Max ammo churned up 3741 fps from my 25" barreled CZ.

No problem beating that with a middle-of-the-road handload.

Hornady (old lot) 32gn ammo usually runs around 4160 average in several VLP's. Rem 32 is slower.

I got around 4125 from a 26 inch Savage FV, and about the same from a 26 inch barrel on my Encore. This is from Hornady 32 gr VMax and in my sons 26 Savage it was a little higher about 4150 to 4160. This is the same reading I get from my hand loads, 31 gr of BLc-2 and 32 gr Vmax. This is a little over Max but seems ok in our guns.
