Off Topic... Hoar Frost.

Post by BabaOriley »

We had fog here the last couple nights and all day today, with temps hovering right around freezing. Thought some of you might like to see some pics. This isn't the most we've ever had, but it was kind of pretty. The most I've ever seen was driving across the German/Czeck border. Some of that was 2" thick, and many trees and shrubs were bent all the way to the ground or broke off.

While pretty, this frost does slow down wireless Internet service.

You can click the images to get a full size view.

Neighbor has some really tall soft maples. The frost gets much thicker the higher things are.

I was watching the Vikings humiliate Dallas today  when I noticed the biggest crow I've ever seen in a tree across the street. Lasered 84 yards.

Thanks for the pictures. Every couple of years we get that type of frost. Last night the humidity was 93% but it stayed warm enough not to freeze..
