Hydraulic Recoil Rifle Buffer

Post by rdelung »

I currently have a self made black gun with a White Oak .204 24in. barrel. After spending a few days punching holes in the dogs of South Dakota, I'm considering adding a Hydraulic buffer. The reported reduced recoil, and reduced boing spring noise would be nice. Anyone have any information as to which is best.

I bought an adjustable one from Olympic Arms. I think it cost around $70 and the best part was getting rid of the "SPRONG" sound! Gary

You can also get rid of that sound with a David Tubb recoil spring. They are about 25 bucks.

I installed an Enidine on a .450 Bushmaster, and it still kicks like a mule. Not sure I would buy another one.
