Some More Fun at the Grandparents...

Went to my Grandparents this past weekend for some shooting. I've been at college for weeks and my parents finally decided to come pick me up. Mostly because my dad wanted to shoot just as bad as i did. We got down there around 9am and started setting up around 10am. We were off and shooting by 11am. We set the targets at 150, 200, and 300 YDS. It was pretty tough shooting that far with the 20mph winds we were getting. I finally got dialed well enough to shoot a 2.125" group at 300 YDS. My dad had a little bit tougher time with his .223 though. He wasnt shooting as well as he liked and blamed it on the wind. My brother had the toughest time with his little 17HMR. The wind was blowing that little 17 Grain bullet everywhere. He finally got the wind figured out and was on target at 200 YDS.
Here's some pictures of our day of fun. Please excuse my Dad's plumber's crack. I told him he should have worn suspenders.

Looking over my scope down our shooting lane:

Full zoom on the camera downrange. Targets at 150, 200, and 300 YDS. The Orange Reactive Prarie Dog was at 200 YDS. He sure took a beating. :

Long Range Dueling ;) :

Dad still trying to get it right. Nice shot of the 17HMR. Me about to send one out to our Prarie Dog named "Larry" @ 200 YDS ;) :

Spotting Scope overlooking us. My Brother would typically spot us but he's the one taking the picture:

Me getting ready to send one out to 300 YDS. Dad loading a few more 55 Grain V-Maxs:

Here's my 5 shot group @ 300 YDS. Measured 2.125" Not bad for first time at 300 right? Especially in 20mph winds! :D :
