Custom 204

I just received my new Custom 204 consisting of Stiller Varmint Action, Shilen 23" SS barrell, H-S Precision composite stock, Jewell trigger (@ 1.5#) and Leupold VX-III 4.5-14X 40mm Long Range Side Focuis Duplex Reticle scope. It weighs in at 8.3 lbs., a "walking varminter." It was assembled by Allen Arnette here in central VA. Despite weather in the 30s this morning, I took it to the range to fire a few break-in rounds. Will go back again tomorrow when it gets warmer. I'm shooting Federal Premium ammo with 39 gr. Sierra BlitzKings for which the chamber was cut. Broken in it should be a tack driver.

I've been shooting a Savage 11FNS in 204Ruger for a couple of years and liked the cartridge well enough to spring for a custom 204.

Remember, the difference between men and boys is the price of their toys.

Don: That baby sure sounds sweet in every regard, and a very fine set of components you chose to build her with too. We'll all be looking forward to the range report once she's broken-in, and remember,......... photos!

Warning though: I also thought two 204's was enough......need I say more? ;)

varmintdon,

I am having one built almost identical to yours - same action, Shilen barrel, only mine will have a McMillan stock - git any pics? Let us know how she shoots!

Hmm, posting about a brand new custom rifle and no pics. That's almost worthy of a ban.
