Hello there, after much deliberation i decided to go for one of Coopers Jackson varminters as it is nice and light with a skinny barrel, and has a rollover cheekpiece which i prefer for off hand shooting. Being a single shot rifle suits me and it still comes with Coopers accuracy guarantee...1/2 moa. Now comes the rub, a few months ago i could buy two dollars for one gb pound, today i can only get one dollar forty for one gb pound.... thats gonna make it one expensive rifle. Does anyone have one of those things that can tell when i will next be able to get two dollars for my pound? Or do i have to bite the bullet and pay through the nose for that lovely Cooper! Regards KB>

kenbro: Can't help on the crystal ball thing (I too sure wish I had one about now!), but that aside, I'm sure you will be more than pleased with your new Cooper Jackson Varminter, even if you have to bite the proverbial bullet and pay more now than you could have recently. That fact is getting more common with about everything these days. If you wait longer, it just may get more expensive with the exchange rate.

Those are very, very sweet rifles indeed. Congratulations. :D

Hi Rick, thanks for that. I may as well order now as our local ( 30 miles away) importer at fox firearms tells me it could be around 7 months from order to delivery. I suppose that time may shorten if a few people decide to tighten their belts because of the economic situation...Then again you get nowt for your cash if it's invested,. so might as well blow it. There's a lot of people that would trade places with us given a chance.
