I have recently been put through some tough times........and I wanted to share my 2 labs with you. Here is P-Nut and his mom Maggie that we had to lay to rest yesterday. She was the old and wise one, who would do anything you asked her to. A WONDERFUL dog. I miss you Mags. With love.

I'm sorry to hear about your loss. I know how very important dogs can become to a family. It seems like they go from young to old in a heartbeat. They're gone too soon.

Sorry to hear about this. But you have to return the favor for all the good years Maggie gave to you. It's darn tough to do that.

Guess who is looking in on her right now Danny!!

Sorry man. They are more than just dogs! Aren't they. We lost two last year. I was not too productive at work for 2 days. Those dogs would have given their lives for us in a heartbeat, especially my wife. That always made me feel more cormfortable about leaving.

Maggie,
Would you give Rip, Pard, Sugar, Solo, Justa, Boomer, Lady, Budgie, & Pester a hug and some love from me. You are all together now, chasing butterflies, having an ice cream cone, splashing in the water at the lake, or catching an afternoon nap in a ray of sunshine. God's Speed

Thank you guys for all of your really nice posts. I didn't ever expect so many nice words that I have received. I want to thank you all very much! It means a lot. P-nutty is snoring beside me as I am typing so it just kinda makes ya chuckle thinking about all the memories. You all are a super good group of guys and I consider you all friends. You don't know what it means. -Dan

P.S. Acloco, I guarantee that Mags is w/ all of your dogs! However, she is watching them chase the butterflies and she is already thru 3 of their ice cream cones and is now sitting in front of the AC vent coming outta of the bottom of her favorite oak tree. I bet it is nice!!!! Thank you friend! -Dan

Dan,

So sorry to hear about Mags. Dogs are truly special members of our families, and it's never easy to say goodbye to them. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family.

Danny: Losing a pup is almost like losing a child, they mean that much to us while they're here. I've gone through it five or six times, and it seems to get worse the older we get. They're lives are just too short compared to ours, and when they're gone, there's a hole in our lives.

I'm glad you still have P-Nut to keep you company; it makes your loss just a bit easier. I'm very sorry for you bud, and feel your sorrow.

Here's a shot of 'my girls', Rose & Lucy to cheer you up a bit:

Those wrinkles on their ankles crack me up on each pic you post of them. Thank you! I already had to show my fiance the x-mas one of your two little poochies. Funny stuff. -Dan

Here's a little something for us dog lovers.

A PET'S TEN COMMANDMENTS.........

1. My life is likely to last 10-15 years. Any separation from you is likely to be painful.

2. Give me time to understand what you want of me.

3. Place your trust in me. It is crucial for my well-being.

4. Don't be angry with me for long and don't lock me up as punishment. You have your work, your friends, your entertainment, but I have only you.

5. Talk to me. Even if I don't understand your words, I do understand your voice when speaking to me.

6. Be aware that however you treat me, I will never forget it.

7. Before you hit me, before you strike me, remember that I could hurt you, and yet, I choose not to bite you.

8. Before you scold me for being lazy or uncooperative, ask yourself if something might be bothering me. Perhaps I'm not getting the right food, I have been in the sun too long, or my heart might be getting old or weak.

9. Please take care of me when I grow old. You too, will grow old.

10. On the ultimate difficult journey, go with me please. Never say you can't bear to watch. Don't make me face this alone. Everything is easier for me if you are there, because I love you so.

~Take a moment today to thank God for your pets. Enjoy and take good care of them.

Life would be a much duller, less joyful experience without God's critters.

~Now please pass this on to other pet owners. We do not have to wait for Heaven, to be surrounded by "REAL" hope, love, and joyfulness. It is here on earth and has four legs.
