Just wondering if anyone else had bought one of these and if they have been having good luck with theres. I bought mine in September and have put about 200rnds through it. So far it a good gun. I have taken some yotes with it and some Gophers(PD) too. Seems faily acruate for the caliber of bullet. But lately it seems like the groups at 100 yards or so are a little bit off. I can seem to get it much tighter than 1.5-2". No matter what i have tried. I just aquired some reloads in a 40gr berger HP and the rifle seems to like them alot compared to the hornaday's. I have read that some guys do some work on a savage before they shoot them, but i dont quite under stand what they have done to them. It seems to shot the same hot or cold. Just some info would be nice.
Also If anyone would like to share some more information on reloading it ould be much apreciated as im lookin at buyin some stuff soon as i have a few rifles i would like to start hand loading for as the box shells just arent as good as some friends reloads. Thanks
Also nice site. Lots of good info here.

Hornaday 40gr v max(i think they are, i can rember as i only used 1 box)
Hornaday 45gr SP Customs(these seem to be Good shells for factory loads on yotes)
Remingtons 32gr vmax

I have a model 25 thumbhole and I love it! I load mine with 32gr sbk, rem7.5 primers, imr 4064 27.5grs, factory hornady brass. I've got about 500 rds down the tube. I get about one inch groups at 300yds. I'll post a pic of the group later. I bought some benchmark to try but I have not made it out yet, way to cold for me.

See i didnt even know they had a thumb hole one until i looked it up on the website. I wish i would have got one of those as i have a 17hmr in a marlin with the thumb hole and love it. I really like it but i can not seem to get my groups as tight as some of the guys on here do. I have shot alot of Different rifles and have had minimal problems sighting them in but this one is a hard one to get diale in.

I'm assuming the factory rds are shooting 1.5 - 2 inches.
My question. Which factory load? Did you change manufacturer and bullet weight?
I've seen changing lot numbers on factory ammo throw things off.
Make sure your cleaning that barrel properly.
Reloading is the only way to go. The sooner you start the happier you'll be.
You really do not need to get fancy unless shooting small holes is your passion.
With the price of ammo these days it'll pay off.
