got a different rifle ...... lots of difference!

Post by cshooter »

Hi fella's, Been real busy around the farm and at work, so I have'nt posted lately. Just wanted to say I picked up a Savage VLP in 204 a while back and love it ! I'm going to get rid of that Ruger 77 204. No compareson as far as I'm concerned. The Savage is so much more consistantly accurate it's not funny. It's nice to have every shot go in the same place. From the time I took it out of the box the Savage was a shooter. It is a bit heavier than I like in a rifle, but I'll just carry my chair and shooting sticks more often or find a big round bale. As far as the Ruger, I think I'll trade it for a Savage Preditor in 204 - as a walking rifle. I've heard alot of good things about those. I have'nt shot any coyotes yet with my big VLP, but out to 400 + yrds, the pigeons in the feed lot look like exploading feather pillows. I love it ! :D

I passed that up, Glen. It was TOO Easy. He left himself wide open.

Kinda like he wanted to get tormented. :chin:

I'm feeling rather uncomfortable in the nether regions and the pitch of my voice is notably higher.

Please refrain from using the phrases "one nut" and "ripped off" in the same post.

My Savage definately has two nuts. One in front of the reciever and one behind it.

Actually the nut in front of the reciever is quite sensible.
