Just checking up on you again Rick.
It's been about a week and a half since you posted.
Gary-- Looking for some backup here if Rick can't get to the puter.
Hope all is well in Oregon!!

Glen: All good here, still on the mend and was away for a while. As I'm feeling much better now, we hooked up the camp trailer and headed up to the lake with the girls (and only one .45 and the new Model 642 .38 +P for 'predators'.
"The Lake" is actually East Lake, a lake in the crater of a dormant volcano here about an hour from home. Camp elevation is 6,150' according to my GPS. Great fishing and very relaxing, which is what the doc's said I'm supposed to do until the next dreaded surgery in December to put me all back together in time for sage rat season.
Here's Capt. Ahab crusing the lake in my Zodiac I use for diving offshore:
I know none of this is related to the 204 Ruger, but you asked
Here's the girls faithfully 'guarding' the trailer: (By the way
Hawkeye, your Buddy has kangaroo in him, I'm sure.)
Rose weighs 60 lbs. and thinks she's a lap dog (it's hard to say 'no' when they look at you with those sad hound dog eyes) Reading was okay until my legs went to sleep!:
Anyway Glen, thanks for thinking about me. Now that I'm home again, I think I'll start a rifle bedding project in 204 flavor. Hope all is well there too.

Hi Rick. Thanks for the update. I didn't wanna sound like Dad but I know things were out of sorts a while back for you. I'm glad all is well on your end & that you were out enjoying that beautiful scenery. We are all doing fine here too. Thanks for asking.
Glen

Glen: Don't fret about sounding like Dad. I'm glad I've got forum friends who think of me during my period of being so buggered up. You can't imagine how much I'm looking forward to getting put all back together so I can grab one of my 204's and head for the rat patch next spring!
Glad to hear all is well back there too. Other than sweating the upcoming election, life appears to be good for all of us right now. Enjoy the rest of the summer, thanks for thinking of me.

You're Welcome Rick. Good Forums like this one always ends up in the "Extended Family" class. Let us know when they are going to work on you again so we only have 1 thing to think about.
And the election will play out the way it does & we will all have to live with the outcome regardless. Just Vote & Hope!!

Hi Glen,
Yup it's good to see Rick on the mend. He sure gave us a scare. Sorry I didn't respond sooner but I just got back from a week on Maui.
It's a shame they don't have sage rats there!

Captqc: Maui?
MAUI? Good for you! And to think I was getting mildy excited about spending a few days over on the coast watching some of my surfer buddies ride the point break and enjoy the beach party. I know I don't have to ask if you had a good time.....right?
The last time I was over there, after dark the surfers built a large bonfire. They hauled a generator down to the beach at the base of the cliff, set up a CD player with great music, everybody was dancing around, and after a while, some hippie surfer girls did a great fire dance in the dark......
naked! Fun was had by all. Wifey didn't even make me leave, talk about understanding spouses!
I'm hoping for a repeat......great therapy for mending up, right?
(Sorry, no photos this time.......

Boys, Maui was great! No naked babes on the beach but great snorkeling, great food and a fantastic magic show. I could get used to that way of life but the prices are out of this world! $9.99 for a gallon of milk!
Ouch! Gary

man i thought gas was high. i can live without gas, but wouldn't make it too long without my milk, and at $10.00 a gallon, i would definately lose some weight
maybe even starve to death!

Captqc, There are several of us that have known for a long time that you do not know
Jack ____! We have only discussed it behind your back to help you hold some self esteem. Sorry if I caused any embarassment from your admission about the umbrella drinks, I shouldn't have gone there.
Hold and squeeeeze the straw on that drink,
