Got a load for my 204!!

I finally got out to see if my final load is going to work!! It looks pretty good. It is only a 3 shot group. I used the other two to see what kind of damage we have VS a 40 gr vmax in a .223. I let my dad do the shooting because I haven't let him shoot because I have been trying to work up the load. I put the lines through hi holes because I was going to shoot too but I think I can trust his groups same POI as my others have been in load development and stuff.

cz 527 varmint
sightron 4-16
32gr Blitz King
27.4gr benchmark
wsr primer
win cases
3925 fps avg 3 shot

sorry the pic is so big should have resized it before upload.

Max = Max Spread Center to Center

ATC = Average to Center

The software is called OnTarget and you can get it here --> http://www.ontargetshooting.com/

If the picture is fuzzy its a little tricky and I don't know how to ge tthat little box that tells you the group size to pop up..

Looks like a great program!!

Hini,
I'll give you a couple of pointers.
Try zooming in the group, it helps when the image is "fuzzy".
Make sure you "Set Reference" which means telling the program what scale to use. In your target, the circle is one inch across, so you choose the "set reference" then drag the pencil across one inch of the target then enter one inch when it asks for "refernce distance".
For the text to show up, click the "Text" box on the right under "Display Options". It won't actually display the box until you click on "Group 1" on the right under "Groups".
I just got an idea. I'll start a thread called "OnTarget" dedicated to using OnTarget in the ".204 Ruger Forum" section. We can discuss how to use the program and people can ask questions there. WrxWaldo, given your experinence with the program I'm sure you can help out.

Edit:
Here is the link to the "OnTarget" thread ---> http://www.rugerhunting.com/forum/viewt ... f=2&t=5135

I just downloaded the QuickTarget and obviously I'm "Technically Challenged", but I got it to partially work by a lot of 'trial and error', mostly error...

I think a separate thread, at least for a while would really be helpful as switching back and forth between windows gets me a little confused as I lose where I started.. :wall:

Cool! I got similar results with my CZ using the 32 SBK, only I was using 27.3 Benchmark with R-P cases and R-P 7 1/2 primers. I just picked up some W-W cases but havent tried any loads yet. W-W have always been my favorite cases shooting other calibers.
