To shooting that is.
I've been busy with a little project that has kept me from shooting or posting much.
Then again, sometimes the little projects are totally worth it. Like a cradle for my first grandkid: Javen James!!

The cradle is made from domestic cherry with walnut dowels for fastners, and I'm sure y'all know how baby was made

Yep, that little tyke is well worth the time you took away from the Board and other activities. I hope the little one grows up to be a good hunting buddy for you!!
Oh, nice job on the cradle too!!!

Hozz, how did you get such good lookin' grandkids?
Have you picked out his first rifle yet? I started the first grandson with a Marlin 22, but I'm thinkin' Savage in 17HMR for the next one. After all Grandpa needs some fun teachin' how to shoot. Enjoy every minute of it friend, they are all precious.

Great job on the cradle
Nice wood is always good to look at, especially when crafted well. Cute little guy holding it down, too!

hozz: Nice work there buddy on that cradle! Great lookin' grandson too, I can't wait till mine is old enough to go afield with me, bet you feel the same way.
The time away from your rifles and the board were very well spent, I'd say.

Thanks to all of you for the nice comments. Of course my daughter's the one who did the hard part, for me it was a pleasure working with fine wood and seeing the project come together.
I figure to get him started with my granddad's Winchester model 69a .22 as soon as he is old enough to reach the trigger.
