New (to me) 204 Ruger

Here it is...
Savage Model 12 Action
Douglas (XX) Premium Barrel 1:10 (actually measured 1:9.25)
Richards Microfit "Wildcat" Stock
Nikon Buckmaster 4.5-14X40
My intent for this was/is a new barrel (or two). Having a love for 6.5mm bullets I am going to start with the 6.5 creedmoor. I am planning a trip to the range later today (much later) to see how much life this barrel still has in it.

Nice!! What weight bullets do you plan on shooting. That's one thing thats on my looong wish list. A 1-10 twist 204 barrel for my F-class frame. You know the drill, WE WANT TARGETS
.

Range Report

A very wet soggy afternoon at the range.
The reason for these groups looking a little ragged is because there was at least an inch worth of targets stapled on top of each other and they were soaking wet! I shot the 204, 17 RFB, and the 223 WSSM. The 40 grainers out of the WSSM made some huge splatter holes!
On to the keeper loads for the 204.
These are all 3 shot 100 yard groups. BL-C(2) / CCI 450 / COL 2.26 / 35 Grain Bergers (WS2 Coated) / Nosler Brass
Here is one of the WSSM groups. It is a Winchester Model 70 with a 22 inch pencil barrel. Muzzle blast is horrendous! One of two things will happen with this rifle, it will either get a 26" varmint contour barrel or it will be re-chambered/re-barreled into a "20 Vaporizer".
Notice the tears around the bullet holes. That area was all pushed back out towards the front of the target.
edit: The 204 groups are with Nosler brass.

Ooops I did that silly edit thing on accident again... Here's how it was suppose to look.
I did up some 35 grain Bergers before I measured it. After measuring it I'm wanting to try the 40's, the Hornady 45 and the Berger 50's.

That definitely is a fine looking rifle!!! Those groups you shot with BL-C(2) and the WS2 coated 35 gr. Bergers are pretty doggone tight!! I'd say that when you called those
keeper loads for the 204 you were 100% correct
Did you happen to chronograph those BL-C(2) loads for the .204 Ruger?
