Hal's .204

Since I've been shooting at the local range (about 2years now) I have managed to make some new friends.
Hal is one of those guys that just gets along with everybody. He is also a pretty good amateur gunsmith, seems like he's always putting a new rifle together or fitting a muzzle break etc...
Anyway, after hearing all about the .204 and watching me (my rifle) put some great groups together, he decided that he'd build one for himself.

He took apart an old Rem 700 action chambered in some magnum caliber and slid in a spare bolt he had laying around, added a medium weight shillen barrell and even put a muzzle break on it. Well he had been working on some different loads for it, asking me alot of questions, reading stuff on the .204um working mainly with the Hornady 32 and 40 grain bullets.

Today at the range he told me to shoot a group with it to see if it was him or his loads that were at fault for some flyers.

Here's what I shot:

Gotta love those Jewell triggers :D

Sorry Glen, I didn't have a camera at the range. It has the HS pricision stock, blued action, stainless barrel and the break.
BTW did you notice the size of the group. ;)
