I have been bugging my parents since our old dog died 2 years ago to get a new one. CHRISTmas Eve my mom walks into the house with a Jack Russell She is a cutie pie, we named her Gracie. Hopefully she won't be gun shy and be my hunting pardner, any tips on that? Here's the pics.
Her tounge is almost always sticking out part way
Bomb Squad: If you see me running, try and keep up
Good looking pup you have there! First time exposing to live fire keep her busy****fetching....running...ect. Start w/ a .22 rim some distance off and work closer to the shots. Don't baby her to make her feel like you think something might be wrong w/ her in the situation. Be normal and be calm. She will pick right up. Good luck!

She should make a dandy squirrel dog, and maybe a rabbit dog, too, but keep her close by, she'd also be a tasty snack for coyote. There's probably nothing much "funner" than squirrel hunting with a good dog, we used to do that when we were kids, it kept us out of trouble, mostly.................
Mighty cute pup!
Build a man a fire, and he's warm for a day. Set a man on fire and he's warm for the rest of his life!
The first time out with my pup I started with a 22lr. After about 10 rounds without ANY flinching, out came a 38 pistol. BANG BANG BANG and he was good to go.
