i just got back from the range with my savage 12 vlp .204,bushnell banner 6x18 load was winchester 748 28.1,39 sierra bk,cci br4,winchester brass, group .168 3 shots,100 yards.ill have a pic of it soon

I think I would try 5 of each of those 3 & look for the consistency that way. That 748 might surprise you in the long haul. That load screams

thanks glen,i got it from elk ridge,put some helsman finish on it,turned out good,did very little inletting to put the action in. i love the thumbhole,it stays real still in the sandbags

Good job! Just goes to show the savages will shoot and the 204 is a good round. Reloading is the way to go. Nice stocks. Time to go hunting.
