Savage website correct?

Savage has a 1:7 twist listed as the twist rate for their Model 12 Long Range Precision Varmint rifle chambered in .204. Is this a misprint?
If not, why on earth is this fast a twist needed. I'd think bullets would simply disintegrate. The Berger 50 grain is the heaviest (longest) bullet I'm aware of for a .20 caliber, and Walt only suggests a 1:9 for them.
Those of you who own this particular model rifle, can you please confirm the twist rate?
Thanks,
Mike
