Factory Ruger Trigger

I have a Ruger M77 MkII "target" in .204
My question is the factory trigger adjustable? I only bought the gun in August so its one of the newer models. I really like the trigger in it now and have no plans to change it out, but I was wondering if I could make it an even lighter pull?

*Many gophers have died via my .204 as will many more*

Rick65Cat, Ruger is a family owned busness and they work really hard not to get a lawsuite against them. In newer models in a word no. I have the same rifle as you and I like the trigger fine even with a little more pull. Replacing is the best fix for a Ruger trigger if not happy with it.

I've got a Ruger VT in .204, and found this site:

http://www.varminthunters.com/tech/rugervt.html

It took me about ten minutes, and now I've still got the two stage trigger, with a nice, crisp 1.5lb pull. There are two screws, and it was easier than doing a Rem 700.

Thanks VT,
From what I was told and what I've read that it was not worth trying. I will give it a try.

I was told the same thing, but thought....in the worst case, I'd go ahead and put a Timney in it, but it worked out well.

Thnx, maybe I'll pull my trigger mechanism and take a look. Worst case is I can't do anything.

So is a standard MK II trigger adjustable too?

I have a Target gray and wasn't happy with the trigger. I tried to adjust it my self and found they put allen wrench set screws designed to strip out if adjusted. When I sent it to a gun smith to cut the barrel he adjusted it for me for free I had to provide new screws that I had recieved from Ruger.

That's one I never heard before. I adjusted mine with no problems.
