I didn't see a category for Ruger scatterguns so here goes. I've been thinking of a Red label 28 ga for skeet, clays, and hunting grouse for quite a while now. Santa knows!
Has anyone here used this gun with the 410 tubes? Do they change the weight (swing) of the gun much? Work reliably? Thanks.

I grew up chasing the Ruffed Grouse around the overgrown pastures near my house with gramps old hammered 12 guage double.
My hats off to you for going after those feathered sidewinder missiles with a 28
I wish there were still some around. Those were the good ol days.

Thanks. A friend at the local gun club is an avid grouse hunter, uses only the Red label 28ga, and gets many each year, though he has pruposely taken only a few for the past three years. He said their populations always swing low every 12 or so years, but they've been down for three years now.
It may be that increased 'yotes and fox numbers have been taking a toll.
They are very tasty but I mainly miss their drumming in the woods.
