I figured it's time to get another after Dexter's passing. I picked him out the same way as big D. All the pups were going nuts and one was just sittin there giving me that puppy-dog look. Picked him up, looked him in the eye and he planted a wet one :eew: :D . I still dont have a name for him.. Maybe Ruger :chin: . I could use some help with a name. He's a AKC Lab. He's too cool :!: Looks like no shootin for me this weekend. But who's to say I can't do some reloading during power naps

He's a cutie are you going to pass out cigars. Maybe you should name him Skipper or WrzWaldo or acloco to remember your pals on the forum.

With those blue eyes, I'd call him "Frank" or "Sinatra", of course, it could just be my monitor. Handsome pup, though!

He kinda looks like Darth Vader. Maybe you could call him Vader. Another idea is to call him Radar, since you're Hawkeye.

It's not your monitor. The flash gave him blue eyes... His dad was 100+ POUNDS and mom looked about 75. Good lookin parents. Just got him at about 5pm last night. He wasn't to fond of the 90 minute drive home. He warmed up quick though. We'll have to take him out back and do some 22rim shooting today.Gotta start em young.

Great picture of your new lab puppy Mike. I've got a 4 year old akc yellow lab female. There is just some thing about labs, they are great dogs. Have fun with your new pup.

Nice lookin pup Mike. I've got two blacks myself. One likes to hang with me at the range, the other wants nothing to do with it. They're named Barkley (after Charles I'm told) and Bear. Guess I could've used some help naming them myself.

Hey Mike! Great looking 'lil pup you've got there! I bet you were ready for a new buddy after Dexter being gone for a while....the house probably seemed empty without your old friend.

I think you ought to name the new pup "Luther". It seems like a great dog name. I hope you two have many, many years to share together.

acloco: Come on buddy! Who would name a dog "RIO"? That pup (Luther, maybe? ;) ) lives in New York anyway. What a guy!

Too bad you're so far away Mike, as next season if you come out to play with Skippy with us, your pup could come and play with "the girls", my Rose & Lucy. Two of the most lovable hound dogs (and lazy) on the planet.

Rick - don't let those two fool you. That is really "Batman" on the left and "Robin" on the right. They just let you think they do nothing but eat, bark, belch, fart, shed, & sleep. :)

Nice pup! I've had Black Labs nearly all my life. They are a lot smarter than a lot of people you run into; also better looking than a lot of them. Ha Ha, He'll have you trained to his liking in no time! Enjoy the company, Jim
