This mine trajedy hits very close to home for me. I grew up in Price UT, about 15 miles north of Huntington and know some of the families affected by this. My yougest brother is a miner at a different mine in the area. The families and towns down there took a hard blow on Thursday night when 3 rescuers were killed trying to dig out their brothers. I know all of the families of the miners appreciate the thoughts and prayers sent their way.

My daughters new brother-in-law was the IMSHA inspector killed in the rescue attempt. We all owe the miners of the country a big thank you and our prayers for the families and other miners. We all know it is hard and dangerous work, but we sometimes forget the stress on the family.
