I got my scope on my gun and the bolt actually clears  . So now i am a happy camper, I still have not had time to go the range and figure out which bullet shoots best out of my gun but i had to boxes of 32 v-max and a box of 40 v-max and so far i have killed 2 jack rabbit with the 32's, and a muskrat and jackrabbit with the fourty's. All the bullets were extremely devestating out to 200 yards (which has been my farthest shot, and was on a jack). So far i am extremely pleased and next time i won't forget my camera and hopefully i will get some pictures of carnage for you guys. Here is a pic of my gun.

I have the same gun and if yours shoots like mine you will love it. Mine loves the 32 grain pills, aand the fortys shoot o.k. too. Have fun at the range shoot, some bug holes and never look back.

Yeah, I am going to order 4 more boxes of the 32's and 2 more of the forty's because I still haven't been able ot compare how the two shoot on paper. I sighted my gun in at about 150 yards sitting down off of bipods, so my gun is extremely rough sighted in, But so far i am killing everything, I just need to perfect my hold over and get my gun dialed in and i will be set

Looks awesome! :D I am looking to get a gun exactly like yours. Why did you pick the Varmint over the American? Is it annoying to have the clip hanging down in front of the trigger guard? Why did you choose the blued over the stainless? How do you like it overall? Just lookin' for an owner's opinion! Thanks!

I chose the varmint because the i still got the bull barrel and the rifle was still as light as any walking varminter, that is the reason for the varminter over the american. CZ doesn't make a stainless 527 varmint. The trigger guard isn't annoying at all, I actually like it more than the regular trigger guards on most rifles that have then a couple inches out in front of the guard because is where the balance point is for me. So overall i love the gun and i also forget to mention how nice the set trigger, that is a major plus. I think you will be happy with either rifle though.

I never jump into anything ( Unless she is real good looking, just kidding) I read about the 204 caliber for a long time. Then when it was time to buy one I read a lot about the different rifles in my price range (around $500.00 bucks). I was sold from what I read about the cz and a lot was off of this site and others. at the end of the fur season in 2005 (the 204 caliber, being release in 2004), most said that this caliber was dead in the water. It seems as though its here to stay in 2007. I love my CZ varminter in 204, it is a very light weight, heavy weight. its accurate, has great fully adjustable by the owner triggers. The magazine has never bothered me, nor the safety that everyone says is backwards, I have a car with the shifter on the floor and a truck with the shifter on the column, believe it or not I know how to shift both of them. Some have said its hard to mount scopes because of the bolt handle but mine worked fine, maybe i am lucky

When you get to the range you should love how your gun shoots, but a word to the wise. The first time I shot my gun I was amazed at her accuracy, then it happen, ever time I went to the range the gun shot better the barrel didn't settle down till after roughly 100 rounds. Now she has approx. 600 rounds down her and if I could shoot as good as her it would be one small hole every time.

I have about 60 rounds through mine and i still have not been able to shoot with a good rest. I just ordered 6 boxes of hornady 32 v-max, so that i have some ammo to kill stuff until i get to the range and get it shooting it's best.
