ULM, Germany (June 2, 2014) — Globally recognized for its premium hunting and target rifles, Anschütz is proud to announce the start of a subsidiary branch, Anschütz North America. This facility will be located in the USA, and its focus will be on the distribution and marketing of their fine German rifles and shooting accessories for the US market.
Due to the great demand of the US market for their excellent hunting and target rifles from the Anschütz factory in Germany, Anschütz has decided to establish a new company in the USA.
As Jochen Anschutz, president of the J.G. Anschütz GmbH & Co. KG in Ulm, Germany noted, “The USA is a powerful market with a huge demand for Anschütz premium quality rifles. Over the years, the continued interest from the American hunters and target shooters in our fine hunting and high-precision target rifles has given us the confidence to further grow and support this important market.
“While attending the SHOT Show in Las Vegas this past January, one of the most important factors of continued success that both I and my father, Dieter Anschütz, discussed was the realization that not only do we need to continue to provide our excellent rifles, but to also expand our legendary Anschütz service here in America,” he said. “We feel that the best way to support this new growth is to take the distribution and sales service into our own hands.”
Both Jochen and Dieter Anschütz have already worked and lived in the US, and this experience has given them key insight to USA’s market interests. In the past, Anschütz offered the Hunting and Sporter line of rifles exclusively through Steyr Arms Inc. in Alabama. For Jochen Anschütz, it was a pleasure to work together with the people of Steyr Arms. The whole Anschütz company would like to thank the people of Steyr Arms for the great cooperation and the support in the US market over the past years.
“During this time, we would like to highlight our appreciation of Steyr Arms dedication and commitment to building the Anschütz Hunting and Sporter brand in the US," said Jochen Anschütz.
On July 1st, Anschütz North America will commence business activities in the US. Anschütz North America will offer their customers the famous Anschütz After-Sales Service for all company products, as well as any needed support in cases of warranty claims, repairs, spare-parts, and technical information. The established Anschütz distribution chain and main dealer network in the US will continue to operate as before.
