Rifle Basix triggers

I want to get rid of the stock Xmark trigger on my Remington 700 and get one where I don't have to swap out the safety and bolt release. How does Rifle Basix compare to say Shilen or Timney?

For the money Riflebasix offers the best replacement trigger for the xmark. Not to mention they have great customer service and stand behind their products with a lifetime warranty. I have used Riflebasix in at least a half dozen rifles in the last two years, each one of them worked flawlessly.

I put a Rifle Basix in my 17 HMR and I have no complaints.

RifleBasix is neither a Shilen nor a Timney. Neither is their price the last time I checked. I have 2 in Marlin rimfires & for the money I recommend them highly as well. I don't think you can go wrong with them.

Got a Rifle Basix on one of my Savage rifles and one on my Remington XP 100 rifle. For the price, they can't be beat! Lots of adjustments to get it where YOU like it. Never tried anything else. I figure, no use messing with a good thing. 8)

Just wanted to post a quick update. I got my Rifle Basix trigger yesterday from our buddy Brad at Custom Reloading Tools. I had ordered it early enough so I was sure I would get it by today at the latest so I could use it this weekend. I noticed it still hadn't shipped by last Tuesday so I contacted Brad to find out when I could expect it. He said he normally has a good supply of them but was temporarily out of stock. He was getting some in on Wednesday. He apologized for the delay and said as soon as they came in he would send one out next day delivery, and he ate the shipping costs. That is what I call exceptional customer service. (Thanks again Brad) I was going to take pics of the install but it's so simple I didn't bother. Two pins hold the trigger in position. Drive them out, being careful not to lose the bolt release spring, put the new trigger in position, slide the new pins in, and test for slam fires. I accomplished it in about half an hour with minimal swearing. This literally was drop in. I did not have to make any adjustments at all. This thing is gonna be sweet!! The old Xmark was heavy and all over the map with a trigger pull of any where between 60 and 72 ozs. The Rifle Basix has zero creep, breaks like glass and the pull is between 22 and 24 ozs. I can't wait to get out to the range. If there are any Rem 700 shooters out there still making do with a factory trigger, do yourself a favor and get one of these. I'll post a range report on Sunday.

I just got back from the range and the new trigger is great. I think it's really going to help me shrink my groups. Below is the best group of the day. The load was 24.0 gr of A2230 with a 40 gr Nosler ballistic tip bullet. Shot at 100 yards, 5 shots .330" center to center.
