Re: nosler vArmageddon
I have been shooting some in .17, .20 and .224. They work right along with the v-max and sierra's in accuracy. And they do explode varmints.. They are added to my bullet line up. Bill K

Re: nosler vArmageddon
Been shooting the 55gr. In my 243.
They are accurate enough to do the job, they lack the explosiveness of the tipped competition; but that should be expected.

I'm a firm believer in the theory that if it bleeds, I can kill it.

Re: nosler vArmageddon
When discussing the Nosler Varmageddons, keep in mind they offer both tipped and HP versions.....the poly tipped bullet is MUCH more explosive on small critters.
As for accuracy, I've found the flat base of these bullets makes them just a mite more accurate in my rifles than the BT version (Ballistic Tip), just a tad. At least that's my findings so far in .20 caliber.

The 32 gr. Varmageddon is the most accurate bullet I ever shot in my .204.

Re: nosler vArmageddon
Broper,
Please share the powder & Primer you use when loading the 204 ruger 32 gr Nosler Varmageddon.
I have some of these Varmageddon's, Just need to work up a load and try them out.
I have a load for the 39gr Sierra BlitzKing that shoots real well, Now I want to find a 32 gr load that will shoot as well.
Thanks,
Any others that care to share their powder & primer of choice for their Varmaggon loads are also welcome to respond.

Re: nosler vArmageddon
Bazz, 8208 should work, but I found I had better results, etc with CFE 223.. Check the load books on it and you may find, I got my best accuracy near the max listed loads. In both 223 and 204 Ruger. Bill K

Re: nosler vArmageddon
I used Winchester brass that had been fired 3 or 4 times. All I did was neck size, trim to length, champher mouths inside and out, wiped lube off, cleaned primer pockets. Rem.71/2 primers, 32 gr. plastic tipped Varmageddon. I started with 27 gr. BLC(2) and worked up to 30 gr. in .5 gr. increments. I fired 3 shot groups. 29 gr. was my most accurate load. it measured .168. My biggest group was .721 at 29.5 gr. My rifle is a Rem. 700 VLS. I've had the best luck with BLC(2) powder. I told a buddy about it and he tried it in his Savage .204, he got real good results too.

Re: nosler vArmageddon
Anyone looking for power and primers to try with the 32 Varmageddon should try the following: Tula Small rifle magnum primers or Remington 7 1/2 BR primers (found the Tula primers to be as good for less money.), Accurate 2230 powder or Ramshot Xterminator powder (they are one and the same.) I have tested this combo in multiple 20 caliber rifles including 204 Rugers, 20 Tac, 20 Turbo, and a 20 Practical AI and accuracy has been very good in all of them. Most of the factory 204 Ruger rifles i have tested seemed to perform best towards the top of the charge weight recommended in the Lyman #49 manual.
