I ordered my cooper 07/11/12. over a year later I picked it up today. It was worth the wait. I had never seen or held a cooper rifle before, only saw pictures. ( Thanks RIO ) This rifle is my retirement present that I bought for myself. All I can say is Cooper Arms builds some very very nice rifles.
I put a Leupold VX3 8.5x20-40 LR with M1 elevation, Talley light weight low rings. It looks awesome. I will try to post pics tomorrow.

RIO strikes again!!! He did it to me a few years back and, I sure am glad he did. First one was a 204R, then a 20VT. Unless God has a different plan for me, neither one will EVER be for sale. Enjoy that new rifle, Sir!

J-Rat buddy! Welcome to the Cooper Clan!
I'll take full responsibility....just tell your wife it's all my fault, everyone else does.
Not sure if that tact works or not....I don't have anyone to blame when I do it; good thing wifey is exposed to gunny stuff alot and works at the consumate gunny place, or I'd be hard pressed to find an excuse.
If Photobucket was working (does it ever?), I'd have to give you the Gunny asking about "you forgot to post a pic of your weapon.......", but alas, it's on the fritz as usual, so you skate. We'll be lookin' for pics of her when you get her all dressed for the prom though!

It's not just you, Ramos. I run into the exact same thing.
Congrats on the new rifle, J-Rat. I'm sure it's beautiful and I know it will shoot.

J-Rat, I can see the pics, and boy, does that setup ever look familiar! NICE! You scored some nice wood indeed.
Purty similar, eh?
Mine will shoot just about anything I feed her, but really shines with RL-10X and either of the SBK's.....we're talkin' bugholes here.
An example of what the MTV will do with the Sierra 32's:
Let us know how yours does once you get some cases filled.
Retirement is always nicer with a new Cooper, I recommend it to everyone.
(I can almost feel your smile from here! But be aware the "Cooper Curse".....you can't stop at one.......)

Wait till Sunday. Don't be shooting at the cars on 67 for target practice.

Terrific choice!
The winner of last year's 100-yard group contest at my local range won it with a Cooper in .204 Ruger. The target hangs on the wall of the office, 0.04" grouping.

Does Leupold make covers for those elevation knobs? I know my target scope has target knobs and comes with covers. Just curious. Nice looking rig by the way.

Jim: In a word: "No". Those are not target turrets, but Leupold's M1 or tactical turrets. They do not come with, nor are covers offered for this series, as they're intended for military/LE/tactical use, and be readily available for adjustment without removing caps. They can be ordered to be marked in MOA or MILS, from .25 MOA to .1 MIL, and are also standard on Leupolds MK4 series of military scopes.
Here's a better look, and you can see the finger grooves on the turret that are easily adjusted with gloves:
I've got these M1 elevation adjustments on all my primary varmint rifles and find them the hot setup for quick range adjustments out in the rat patch. My M700 11-twist 204 shown below:
If you've used target turrets in the past, this is a huge step forward in terms of ruggedness, and ease of use with no caps to misplace or lose in the field.

Beautiful rife! My next rifle would be a cooper if I could get them here
I love the turrets on my scope. I wish all my scopes had them.
