Hi guys i am looking at getting a custom stock for my Ruger M77 mark 2 V/T in .204 the people who do the stock tell me that they do the M77 inlet and this was taken from the .223 Hawkeye and will fit? Now i am not sure about this can any of you guys tell me if this is the case as i would hate to get the incorrect one.

Thanks for your help shootingcharley.

Try Boyd's Gunstocks.....about the largest selection available of M77 MK-II options and great customer service.

Seeing as the Ruger Hawkeye is based on the M77 action, would the stock options be the same?
I'd like to add a longer barrel and better stock to mine one day

g'day mate, if the stock they want to sell you is for a hawkeye then it might not fit your rifle because they have a differant barrell profile.

I have a Hogue stock to fit your rifle, I had the same rifle but just bought a new 204 so i would like to sell the stock. It has the black rubberised finnish, full aluminium frame inside the stock - not just the aluminium pillars. My ruger shot alot better once I fitted this stock to it.

Cheers, Steve.
