NICE! I'm going with the Zeiss Conquest. I looked through one last night at Scheel's and was impressed with the brightness for a 1" tube.
Did you install a sling swivel?

Congratulations to you and the missus :D
I hope it's healthy and fits in well with the rest of the family.
Remember the others though - don't favour one child more or the others will be jealous

Bodei, congrats on the new Cooper! I can almost feel that grin from here.

Cooper's do not come with either swivels or QD studs unless ordered, at least not the VR, MTV (Varminter and Montana Varminter), nor the Phoenix. They literature says they are available upon the customers request. The varmint models are made to ride the bags, not be carried with a sling or have a bipod attached.

However, there's more one way to skin that cat....(my Cooper 20VT)

Image

No bipod needed here either: (cut down set of Stony-Point stix just for prone chuck sneaking)

If you also shoot from the bench and or off bags, QD studs can be a real pain in the patooty. I've got QD studs for slings/bipods on all my walkabout rifles, but on a nice Cooper varminter? Nah....not me.

I'm with you on the studs, 95% will be shooting from the rest. Now for the "fun" part, making loads. Better run over to Cabela's and pick up those two bags of .221 fireball they have on the shelf. This is my first wildcat, glad its not difficult.
