There you go! Wow! Definitely a keeper group. That's where I need to go. Nice group Hornet!! Great shooting, too. I have to work on mine to get there. I would say that combination you have is absolutely worth keeping. I'll be back at it this weekend (but still w/factory rounds), seeing if I can tighten the group a bit, before trying different things.

Maybe in a .243? That's a hole I have to fill. Sold my Ruger African in .375, so then, maybe a #1 in .375 H&H?

Yeah, I want another one. You bet. But there are also some other neat single shots out there. Have to check out the other choices available. But, the #1 remains a real neat choice. Now, I'm looking for something that's a bit lighter in, say, .243. Took out the .204 for another spin. Shot well, but the groups are still around the 1/2" mark. My trigger breaks right there. No drag. That's the great part. The not so great part is that it's a bit heavy. So, I'm going to have to get my "smith" to correct that. Definitely need a scope w/at least 14 plus power. Then, I can be real anal about my groups. Until then, these groups 'ain't' bad.

They're really good guns too. Left my #1 w/the smith Friday. Trigger, although crisp, pull was over 4 1/2 lbs. Will have it ready this coming week. I think I'll be able to improve my groups some then. That 4 1/2 lb pull was just not conducive to getting good groups. Will wait till later in the summer to get a higher power variable with adjustable side focus for it. Then, no excuses for bad groups. It will be all on me, lol.
