We had an older Wal-mart in Carlinville and it was an OK store. Like Glenn said, after Sam died, Wal-Mart changed. They just built a small super store that opened last year and I don't go there any more than I have to. Not many people in the community like it.
Carlinville has a town square and there used to be clothing stores, some pharmacies, a grocery store and other business's and then along came Wal-Mart. It caused a lot of good people to close their doors.
To my understanding, there aren't many of their employees that have a 40 hour week which affects benefits and so much of there merchandise comes from China.

Enjoy it while you have it, because things will change.
