I have to confess - I used NOTHING but the Boresnake for my barrel break in. I ONLY used the Boresnake in my rifle for the first 120 rounds fired through it!
I shot a .174" group with it that way!

I didn't own a good rod yet - I now have a .20 caliber Dewey Coated rod.
It took a good 20 patches soaked with Butch's to get a white patch out of the muzzle.
I really hope I didn't just screw the pooch on my rifles accuracy. It might have needed that 'fouling build up' to be consistent.
Oh well.......................everyone will see when I shoot the Postal Targets on September 24th.
