I put a modified mag. well in my 700 so I could use it as a repeater but I've only shot it as a single shot. My gunsmith had a mag. well with a spacer in it so I could load the short .20VT in it. I should've saved the money like Bill and Varmint Shooter advised me to. They were both great in helping me build my Rem. 700 in .20VT. Randy.

Would a CZ 527 action work well for a Vartarg build?

On a bench or solid rest shooting in pivots or rock chucks, I like single shot. For a walk about rifle I like repeaters.
I believe a CZ527 would make a good action for a VT build. Bill K :)

If you want a boatload of info on building a 20VT on a CZ 527, go over to saubier.com and post your question. I've seen about 20 CZ Vartarg builds over there. Do a "Vartarg" search, and you'll have more info than you can digest.

A little thing to remember: I've never heard of an unhappy 20VT owner. :D :D :D

Glad Varmint shooter came on with his post, as I was going to say, Yes I have been using and playing with them, as I will have to go to lead free after July 2019 here in my commie state and when he and I were shooting together, before he move out of this state, we both shot them.
As you see his are working very fine and so are my loads in my 20 SCC. They are accurate and I can tell you, so can he, that they do a number on ground squirrels and rock chucks.
Work with AA2200 in and around the 19-20 grain area and you will be glad you did. Work you loads up safely for your rifle. Bill K :)

Miracle or miracles......Pac-Nor called me yesterday to let me know that my barreled action is shipping back to me. They only had it less than 30 days. Talk about great customer service!!! It will take about a week to get here and then reassembly. I found some RL 7, but no Accurate 2200 yet. May have to order some. In any case, we are very close to putting some rounds down range. Can’t wait.

Sweet!

Looks like P/N has a new laser engraved logo and chamber design; I like it.

For those of you that reload the 20 VT...what do you run in cartridge overall length?

For a repeater or single shot? What are your chamber dimensions? P/N will gladly give you the drawing if you email them. That will give you everything you need.

My 20VT runs great at two COAL's, one is .005" off the lands, the other is a full .080" off (32gr). Both shoot 1/4" or under. Shows why it pays to experiment.
