I'm having too much fun shooting my .204. Someone asked me what I expected for barrel life. What should I expect?
I try to never let the barrel get hot and clean with patches/H9 every 25-30 rounds, copper remover once a month.

You should be easily able to get 6000 round through it, as long as you do not burn out the throat area, by getting it too hot. Switch on and off to another rifle in the fields, so barrels do not overheat. Bill K

Thanks for asking this question. I had just recently been wondering as well. Sounds like you and I are pretty alike with the cleaning.

Re: .204 Barrel Life
In the tables of min - max powder loads I stay mostly about 1/3 up from the bottom. That should help, too.
