Here's my favorite for my CZ 527 Varmint
39 BK
Federal Match Primers
25.6 gr Benchmark
2.31 COL

Shot this on Sat. Best I can do with my aging eyes at 100 yds. I can get tighter groups with 35 gr Bergers but always have a flyer for some reason so I stick with Sierra BK's. The stray holes in the target outside of the black is from my air rifle.

27.7grs sounds a little hot for the 204R, depending on the powder you are using. A little more info would be helpful. You will have to work up your own recipe for your loads. One load that is safe for one rifle, may not be safe in yours. Also keep in mind that heavier bullets require less powder than a lighter bullet. And a load that will group out of one rifle, may not group worth a darn out of your rifle. Short cuts in this hobby can be very dangerous to you and your firearm! :wall:

Hodgdon lists 26.6 gr. of Benchmark as the Maximum load. I'd be VERY CAREFUL going over that listed Max. Most of my rifles shoot their most accurate with a powder charge UNDER the listed max.

Some web sites and powder companies list the "most accurate load" in their manuals. Buy a couple of reloading manuals and check out the recommended starting and maximum loads. What works in other reloader's rifles may not work worth beans in your rifle

Good shooting and let us know what works for your rifle.

R10X, H4895 and Tac have all worked well for me as has BM. If your rifle won't shoot 39 Sierra bullets well trade it off for another. Almost every 20 cal rifle I've been around shoots the 39's well if nothing else works. By the way, that last grain of powder to reach the max doesn't produce very much velocity or accuracy in my experience.

I have bought lots of reload magazines and I have a lyman reload manual. I guess I should of said which powder I had to help with the advise. My apologies. First time reloading on my own. The 27.7 was with H4895 and Varget. I used he ladder system and used the info from sierra reload site I found a link to on another site and nosler sincs those were the two brands i was using. In my Lyman manual 49th edition pg 123 for 32gr bullet have 29 gr of h4895+ as max load same as Varget. Lol I dont think i could even fit that in a casing of mine. I did notice that the heavier the bullet he less the powder. I am aware that you can two of the same make and model might not shoot the same load. I was just looking for a safe some ideas that others might have used to get me on my way to my ULTIMATE LOAD! Lol. I shoot a rem 700 sps heavy barrel with a bell and carlson stock with a 6-24x50 Brunton scope. The last few days I've been reloading alot since Ive saved brass for around 2 years and finally bought a pile of reloading stuff. This is what i shot today. I laddered up from 27 on the first load cause i seen a lot of people in this range.
Sierra 39 gr blitzking.
H4895 27, 27.3, 27.7 grs
Trim 1.845
Coal 2.25.
The 27.3 had 4 less than 1 moa with one flyer low and left an inch. But Think I pulled it. 27.7 had 3 at 1 moa with 2 flyers. My best grouping was with.
39 gr sierra bk's
Varget 27.7 gr
Coal 2.250
