Rem 700 stock options?
Hey ya'll, Ive been shooting .204 ruger for about three years since my brother bought a NEF ultra varmint. Last year I picked up my own Remington 700 sps varmint in .204. Ive been spying on this website for a while and picking up load data. Anyway I usually get a little over 1/2 in groups with my rifle which is plenty good enough for me but I still hate the flimsy stock. So what stocks do you guys recommend?

G'day
ANY stock is better than the one on the SPS!!!!! I have gone with a Mcmillan Varmint on my SPS Varmint but have a look at Bell and Carlson stocks great value for money!

I just picked up a hs precision with the bedding block In it. On my old gun I had a laminate thumbhole stock from Boyd's gunstocks. If you got on of those and glass bedded it I think it would work pretty sweet! Mine shot half inch groups not even bedded.

Boyd's gunstocks, got one shiped to N.Z and have had the same results as Kale_M. A 1/2 inch 5 shot group made me happy.

The boyds stocks look nice but im a little hesitant to go wood since I deal with extreme temperature variations season to season (-20F to 110F), right now im leaning towards the H.S. Precision stocks. Short action heavy barrel is the right stock right?
