Re: Bore Snake
i use them on occasion when i am out in the field. However i wouldn't replace my cleaning rods with them as I have heard some people are doing. In my opinion the boresnakes are a great quick maintenance tool out in the field when you don't have the time or equipment to do proper cleaning.

Same for me as wirelessguy. I carry one in the field, and I keep it clean (wash it in a tub of simplegreen). They are fantastic tools.

Re: Bore Snake
You guys gave the same answer that I do and that is what I figured would be the answer. I have one for every caliber that I have and only use it in the field. I guess the way I look at it as its like going to the car wash at the gas station or taking it in and having it detailed. The gas station gets the dust off and makes it look good but the detail job makes it shine.
