I have 2 Savage 204s and love them. Both shot very well out of the box. Try 39 grain Sierra Blitzkings pushed by some H4895.
Please, no Sidewinder today!

HeadshotKiller, we too have a couple of those .204-Rugers in the Savage model 12 rifle using Bushnell 3200 series Tactical scopes in the 5 x 15 power with mil-dots, turrets and adj. AO. I can't wait to shoot them and make sure the zero is correct, going to do it today but woke up to snow and sleet all frigging day. My day off was spent cleaning our rifles. You have a nice looking set up and great pics too!
Thank a VET for your Freedom!

This one started out as a plain Jane Model 12 FV. I don't like the synthetic stock, so I replaced it with a Boyd's Ross Thumbhole Varmint laminate stock.
My cat, Sammie Jo, likes her picture taken, too, sometimes.
It's sporting a Weaver T-36 scope, and is being used solely for target shooting at 200 to 300 yards, although it may do a Prairie Dog hunt some day. I'm still in the process of working up loads for it, but I have seen it shoot a four round group at 100 yards of 0.188".

I had a tortoiseshell calico hanging around for 18 years, they are about as good as a cat gets. The rifle is okay, too
